Violet
The best MapleStory bots in 2026, compared
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Every MapleStory bot promises to farm for you. The real difference is where it runs. Most bots sit outside the game, read the screen and press keys, then add hardware so those key presses don’t stand out. Violet runs inside the game client. This page compares the MapleStory bots people ask us about most, using what each one says on its own site.
We make Violet, so read this knowing that. Each competitor’s section links to the sources we used.
01Two ways a MapleStory bot can work
From outside the game. Screen-reading bots take screenshots, find your character, monsters and runes with computer vision, and send simulated input. They can only react to what’s on screen. Because the anti-cheat can see software sending input, several of them offer extra hardware for safety: a Raspberry Pi Pico acting as a keyboard, a capture card, or a second PC. That setup is how they hide from the anti-cheat.
From inside the game. Violet runs inside the client and reads the game’s own state: the map, every monster, your buffs, cooldowns and inventory. It bypasses the anti-cheat instead of hiding from it, so there’s no second PC, Pico or capture card. It doesn’t need the window in focus, so you can keep using your PC, and one PC can run several clients.

03Lie detectors are where the approaches split
An unanswered lie detector is the quickest way to lose an account. A screen-reading bot has to recognise the lie detector from an image and guess the answer, the same way it finds monsters. Violet reads the lie detector from inside the client and answers it, so there’s no image to misread. It solves every one.
04The bots, one by one
MANIA
MANIA runs outside the game. It reads the screen and sends key presses, and its own FAQ recommends a 4-core CPU and 8 GB of RAM because the screen reading is computationally intensive. It offers optional external input hardware for extra safety.
MapleMate
MapleMate uses AI to read the game from the screen and plays with simulated input. Its listing offers a Raspberry Pi, Raspberry Pi Pico or capture-card setup for extra safety on official servers, so the inputs or the screen capture come from separate hardware.
MapleStory AI Bot
MapleStory AI Bot (maplestorybot.com) detects monsters and your character on screen with a YOLO computer-vision model and navigates by the minimap. It sends every input through a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 so the key presses arrive as a hardware keyboard would send them.
Racmo
Racmo is built around Record & Play: you record a farming rotation once and it plays it back, solving runes along the way. A recording repeats what you did rather than reacting to where monsters are.
05How to choose a MapleStory bot
- Do you want to keep using your PC? A bot that needs the game window in focus takes the PC over. One that runs inside the client doesn’t.
- Are you willing to buy and wire up hardware? If a bot’s safety depends on a Pico, a capture card or a second PC, count that in the price and the setup.
- How does it handle lie detectors? Ask whether it reads them or guesses from an image, and what happens when it gets one wrong.
- Which server do you play? Violet is built for GMS. Some screen-reading bots also cover private servers and classic versions.
- Does it do more than farm? Starforce, cubing, flames, Inner Ability and dailies take as much time as grinding.
