Violet
Violet vs MANIA
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Violet and MANIA are both MapleStory bots, but they work in different ways. MANIA is a screen-reading bot; Violet runs inside the game client. That one difference decides what each can see, what hardware it needs and how it deals with lie detectors.
We make Violet. Everything we say about MANIA comes from its own site or listings, linked at the bottom.

02How they work
MANIA. MANIA runs outside the game. It reads the screen and sends key presses, and its own FAQ recommends a 4-core CPU and 8 GB of RAM because the screen reading is computationally intensive. It offers optional external input hardware for extra safety.
Violet. Violet runs inside the client and reads the game’s own state: the map, every monster, your buffs, cooldowns and inventory. It bypasses the anti-cheat instead of hiding from it, so there’s no second PC, Pico or capture card to set up. It doesn’t need the window in focus, and one PC can run several clients from a single browser panel.
03Lie detectors
MANIA advertises a machine-learning solver that spots and answers lie detectors without you. Like any screen-reading bot, it has to recognise the test from an image, so a misread is a failed test.
Violet reads the lie detector from inside the client and answers it. There’s no image to misread, and it solves every one.
04Beyond farming
Violet automates the gear grind too: Auto Starforce, Auto Cube, Auto Flame and Inner Ability, each with a target and a budget. The Scheduler plans a whole day, from farming to dailies at reset, with rules that log you out and message you on Discord when a GM appears. Anything not built in can be scripted in Lua. See the full feature list.
05Which should you pick?
Pick MANIA if you want to bot over a remote-play service such as GeForce Now, which MANIA lists as supported. Reading the screen is what makes that possible; a bot inside the client needs the client on your PC.
Pick Violet if you play GMS and want a bot that sees the whole game, solves every lie detector, needs no extra hardware and leaves your PC free. See plans and pricing or ask us in Discord.
